Board that requires a little homework. Wouldn't recommend just jumping in and giving it a go. Wish I had the time to study it a little more, would play more games on it.
I've only played this board a few times but really enjoy it. Little change of pace to the standard map layout and has little quirks that makes it fun. I will be playing more games on this board.
When first starting to play risk, I would always go for South America or Australia. So in concept a really cool idea. I haven't played much on it so don't have much to share on the nuances of the board. But kudos for the idea!
This is a very large board. I mention this because you don't want to be in too many of these games if you have to make a lot of turns to make. It requires more attention then the average map does. But an epic and iconic map on this site.
Don't be surprised at how simple this board looks. Personally, I find is very challenging and have had less than stellar results. If an opponent has a bonus, they will have many more units to place than you do.
I would consider this as one of the standard boards on the site. More countries create an environment that requires more strategy and can sustain more players at the same time.
This board is appealing if you are looking for more complexity then with standard boards. If your going to play, it would be beneficial to read the instructions carefully, and play a few practice rounds before jumping in.
